May 4, 2024 - To drink this right now is bliss. Ripe blackberries, ripe black currants, ripe black cherries, ripe dark plums, old wood, fresh cracked black pepper and dried thyme on the nose. Speaking of the nose, it's firing on all cylinders right now, with a high intensity of aromas. The palate is less primary in a great way - it adds graphite and crushed red peper flakes and is mostly driven by spice. Finishes with a flash of cinnamon and allspice. About a 20 second long finish.

Medium + body medium acid, lingering medium tannin. Structure wise, it's ready to go. Flavor wise it's...also ready to go. I don't see it getting better than this. Drink now. Would pair well with red meat; but delicious just by itself.

March 1, 2024 - I really feel like the right bank (Pomerol and Saint Emilion) 2012's are drinking great right now. They will continue to develop and cellar well. However, if you are itching to drink some Bordeaux from your cellar then 2012 isn't a bad choice.

We decanted the entire bottle for 60+ minutes before tasting... dark purple color but beginning to see ruby coloring in the edges. on the nose you get lots of black and red fruit; fresh black cherry, plum, and hints of incense. typical right bank structure; dry and medium to full bodied. low to medium acidity. alcohol and tannins were well balanced after a 60+ minute decant despite being on the younger side for my liking. Long, rich finish with complexities of fresh fruit, earthiness undertones of clay and supple tannins. The 80% merlot really shines in the finish!

This is a great value buy around the $100 mark for continued cellaring or drinking now. 94/100 with possibility of slight improvement.

November 22, 2023 - Dekanert 3 timer. Strålende fra første glass, balanse, alt på plass, selv om den ikke framstår som en typisk pomerol. Forfalt dag 2, grei, men ikke mer.

September 19, 2023 - Blackberry, cassis, leather, hints of mushroom; smooth, intense, a little candied, chocolatey, reasonably long but not especially elegant

August 28, 2023 - 1 hour decant in glass. Reddish-purple with ruby edge in color. Nose of cassis, cherries, plums, red licorice and slight alcoholic heat. On the palate: red berry fruit, plums, sous bois and wood spice. Sandy tannins are smooth and perceived mostly on gums...a bit on the cheeks. Long finish of red berries, sous bois and wood spice. Drank over two days and the alcoholic heat blew off by day 2 and the mouthfeel became even more creamy, with the wine overall showing balance and elegance. Should have provided a longer decant (maybe 3-4 hours) based on the day 2 experience.
