January 29, 2022 - I have to believe the bottle was flawed. The nose had a funk -- perhaps even corked, though that was not an overly assertive element. Over the course of the tasting, the nose took on a candied, sweet, almost stewed character.

January 29, 2022 - Bear in mind that this is only the 2nd vintage under Domaines Dillon ownership but, with that caveat, this is barely potable. This shows preserved black fruit, a funky seaweed character, marmite, and rubber.

January 29, 2022 - Tasted at a winemaker event with 2015 Quintus and Le Dragon, and 2016 Quintus and Le Dragon. The nose had a prominent candied red fruit element - almost like SweeTarts, in a good way. Strong alcohol on nose and palate. It's easy to drink but nothing extraordinary.
