July 11, 2023 - Pronounced nose intensity with black fruits, black currant, lead, vanilla, coffee, chocolate. Medium+ acidity and medium+ tannin. Tannin is velvety. Long finish. Will improve with ageing.

March 6, 2023 - Lots of black fruits, earth & truffles with violets, cigar box, smoke & peat.
Palate- dark fruits, earth, violets, tobacco with smoke, peat, bigger tannins & medium acidity in a full body. A great bottle but a tad tight. Hold for a few years.

January 23, 2023 - Despite opening to breathe in bott for 4 hrs and thereafter, decant for an hour in restaurant, the wine appear to be closed with astringency. Not sure why and it’s quite different from the notes of others. Perhaps it’s not ready or maybe open to air for too long. Will wait for a few years before opening next bott

November 24, 2022 - Out of magnum. 2 hr decant and at least double that time right now is a good idea. It is a blockbuster claret that tastes to me like a Cab Sauv with a little Cab Franc - not like the Merlot dominated blend it is. Tons of blueberry/cherry, a little tobacco, fairly light toasted oak, a little graphite. Terrific but still formidable tannic structure that supports enough fruit to keep this going for easily another decade. I don’t think this is even really at its peak yet. Right now the astringency makes this a little tough to enjoy fully but it does command attention and is an excellent 2012.
Score 94+ ; could be even better in a few years.
Relative to expectations: at least a +, maybe a second in time.
