June 28, 2017 - In its prime, my notes are largely unmatched from before. Overall I'd drink sooner rather than later.

August 9, 2014 - Opened this bottle to get ready for the release on Monday. Unfortunately this was corked and my wife was sorely disappointed as we love Macario's wines very much. Too bad as his wines tick all the boxes. Still looking forward to the release on Monday though!

May 19, 2014 - More of the same... Should have bought so many more!

April 23, 2014 - Very complex aromatics with dark fruits, smoked earth, floral notes, tar, red meat and rock dust. The palate matches- the fruit is more prominent but all of the complexities and structural components from the nose are there, particularly the floral and mineral notes. Medium acidity, medium+ tannins, and a very lengthy finish. This wine was very good on the pnp but I'm writing this on day three and it's even better. Open a bottle now if you have more than one but this should age and probably improve several more years.

March 6, 2014 - A Whole Lotta Syrahs (and more) at the Girl and the Fig; 3/4/2014-3/6/2014 (The Girl and the Fig): It was a pleasure to see Macario again. I really like his wines. A 40/40/20 blend of Syrah/Grenache and Mourvedre. Ruby/purple in color. The nose is very nice with a warm earthiness; raspberries, black raspberries and leather. More boysenberries on the palate with a nice backbone of acidity. Nice juicy texture. worked well with food.
