  March 11, 2017 - Great gift from friends for my 50th and left to rest for a few years. Great as a pop and pour, no need to decant. Lavender, red fruit and toasted vanilla on the nose. Medium+ in weight, the wine is well-integrated with fine tannins but not heavy on the palate. In a great place today, I don't imagine this will get much better, though certainly capable of resting for a few more years.

  March 3, 2016 - Rich and oak driven nose with dark fruit and toffee notes. Blueberry and blackberry palate. Integrated tannins and drinking well with no decant. There is something unique about this bottle, though I can't put a specific note to it.

  October 10, 2015 - Nose: Big blackberry, licorice, blueberry pie, broiled ribeye steak, leather, and a little graphite.
  
  Flavors: some tart cherry that was not unpleasant, lush tannins, rather velvety.
