Community Tasting Notes 5

May 30, 2015 - PnP. Perhaps this would've benefited from decanting. It has a dusty taste to start (earthy?) that I didn't really like, but that dissipated after maybe 45 minutes.

April 25, 2014 - Dense Pinot color. Simple and straightforward, cherry sweet tart character. Nice with or without food.

September 19, 2013 - Nice, fairly elegant... Lots of ripe cherries with a touch of mossy earth. Somewhat Burgundian in style.

August 23, 2013 - Light nose of sour cherry, easy dust, hint of darkness, touch of pepper. Palette expresses cherry but not bright or obviously. Light to medium tannins, maybe dusty. Acidity medium to medium plus. 2011 in Oregon was a late picking year, coolest on record in Willamette. This is their "expressive" and forward selection but it's not that obvious. All their selections have an Oregon/Burgundian style.

Second taste after going through their lineup shows better.

June 15, 2013 - Some cocoa-oak, dusty sweet cherry, slight earthiness, but the overall impression is very fruity.
