October 18, 2020 - This wine is ready to drink now. Fruit, Tannins and Acidity are in great balance. We opened the bottled and let it air for an hour before dipping into it. Bouquet of ripe cherries made a little darker because you can smell some of that 14% alcohol.

On the pallet the fruit followed through and the alcohol did not overwhelm because the acidity and tannins were just enough to balance it out. Lasted easily for 30 seconds or so and we found ourselves going back to it again and again.

    One of my favorite Brunellos.

July 7, 2019 - Longlivebrunello tasting, the "La Paulee" of Montalcino, vin 30:

    Nice maturity, orange zest, leather.

    Soft and round. 93p

June 17, 2018 - Nicely done but nothing memorable about it. Don’t think this wine has much upside and would drink up.

February 25, 2018 - Very impressive Brunello. Hard to expect any less from this great BDM producer. Old style Brunello with red cherry, tabacco, spicy and mineral notes. Good complexity and very balanced but lacking a bit of length on the finish. If it had the finish I was expecting it would have been a 95+ wine.
