  November 10, 2010 - opened this bottle because other members described the wine as being ready to go. this bottle, IMHO, was still rough around the edges. unresolved tannins and oak tend to obliterate the fruit. the wine comes around a bit after an hour, but the jammy fruit described by others never really emerges. just watched gv interview with peter weygandt (importer of this wine) who impressed as being a knowledgeable and forthrightly winemerchant. therefore, i would have expected somewhat more from this wine. perhaps my bottle is not a typical example of this product. if i had more, i would keep longer, as per parker recommendation, to see whether it achieves greater balance.

  March 1, 2009 - Absolutely yummy jammy tobacco vanilla explosion. Sexiest wine I've tasted in years. I'd absolutely take this one vs. bottles priced 5 -10 times higher.
  
  I had it with a very simple, garlicy pasta carbonara and each made the other better, I think ... the wine was still fantastic to finish 2 days later with a little bread and cheese.

  October 31, 2008 - Shiraz- Grenache blend. Purple disc with light red brick. Very bright plum fruit. Slight raisin - menthol notes. Light tannins.
