March 11, 2015 - I have to confess. I bought this wine on a flyer just browsing the wine aisle at the supermarket. I liked the screw top bottle, and I had never had a wine from this region of Australia. I was pleasantly delighted by this find. This is NOT your usual over the top bombastic fruit bomb from down under. This wine is so old world with a dry and lean palate and lower alcohol level. It smells like raspberries and red cherries with a hint of white pepper. It tastes like cranberries and sour cherries. Short finish.
