November 12, 2023 - Dokonalé. Harmonické, ani náznak že by bylo za hranou. Silné třísloviny, ale neválcují ostatní chutě. Naprosto skvělé víno. Jedno z nejlepších italských co jsem pil.

May 24, 2023 - First of 2 ($79.99@) from cellerage operation #2. On the nose and palate, black currants, black plums and lesser notes of blackberries, black licorice, smoke, a touch of dark florals and asphalt on the finish. Deep purple with the slightest brown, medium+ bodied, thick legs. Medium+ tannins and medium acidity, still with some separateness even after air, no heat although a slight note of booze on the nose when opened. VG complexity, persistence and intensity. I’ve had tastes of the ‘15 and ‘16 of this cuvee at events (both bangers) and several vintages of the producer’s BdMs (a bit disappointing) and have a (much cheaper) ‘17 of this, but this was my first bottle of this, from this vintage I love dearly. This came out pretty good to go, if you don’t mind some non-integration of the elements, and smoothed out a bit more over a couple of hours, but this wine was tasting pretty young. It’s an interesting blend, with no varietal in the majority (plurality CS) and with a decent dollop of syrah, easier to pin down geographically than compositionally. This drank about equally well on its own and as an accompaniment to burritos, that old Tuscan favorite. At what I paid for it, this punches right around its weight, like the recent Lupicaia (which is a good bit more on WS, but I bought at the same price), not quite there with some of the IGTs I’ve bought at similar and lesser prices, making me happy to have another but more likely to seek out the ‘15s and ‘16s than more after that. This is certainly good to go now but should hold for some years, and is probably (slightly) more likely to improve than deteriorate near term. Just a bit more fruit and vibrancy could have lifted this closer to excellence, but it’s a very worthwhile pour nonetheless. 92-93+

November 13, 2022 - Vanilla, chocolate, red cherries, mineral, bright acid on the finish. Delicious and still going strong, consistent with my previous notes.
