Community Tasting Notes 2

September 26, 2015 - Alternative New Zealand (Oinoscent): The wine is quite fruity and flowery as well, tropical fruits with melon, ripe apricot and light syrup-y hints, with time the fruits turn to almost candied fruits. The wine feels off dry, ripe stone fruit, honey, fresh jammy tones, grape-y, fine balance, med length, great on its own. Very good quality, drinking now

November 1, 2013 - The 2011 Rippon Gewürztraminer is pale medium (-) lemon in colour with green cut grass on the nose alongside lemon and pronounced lychee. A soft entry of pronounced lychee and longans before broadening out to green cut grass. Moving forward from there, the acidity forces the wine back in focus to pronounced lychee once again. An uplifting acidity drags the medium (-) finish with hints of floral notes. Playful palate.
