May 8, 2023 - decanted 1 hour after opening and served. Really beautiful nose, sweet and very ripe fruit. Fragrant oak and woodsy notes. Powerful throughout and stunning.

December 29, 2022 - Wanted a fruit bomb with good balance, and this delivered. Initially some raisin/prune that blew off in about an hour and then we got what we wanted. Modest tannin, ripe red fruit, some tar and glycerin. Strong complexity but not a complicated wine. A nice Thursday night treat on NYE eve. Here’s to you, Mike. RIP.

November 3, 2022 - Admits moderate light. Floral aspect to beautiful nose with red and dark fruit, mulberries and plum, sweet smooth tannins resolving but present, earthy with brambly edge. Medium body, dare I say classy/elegant. Long finish.

September 29, 2022 - Fruit forward like a napa syrah, and some good pepper and spice to make it distinctly syrah. Limited rhone style character. Worth the price point.

November 16, 2020 - Deep, dark garnet color. Charred meat with bright, sweet dark fruit on the nose with some Asian spice. Gorgeous velvety texture without being too weighty - some big jammy flavors and tannins yet alcohol is still present and upfront. Should drink beautifully over the next 5+ years. Really a lovely Syrah - Cheers Ann 💋!

p.s. ny strip, charred broccolini and king crab
