  September 23, 2015 - No proper notes - very good sweet sour fruit with kirch, leather, plums. Medium + acidity and medium tannins. Very good quality wine with potential for agening, 90-91p

  March 14, 2013 - Chianti Classico tasting- the black rooster crows at the dawn of a new age (Allerton Hotel, Chicago IL): Nose: Gorgeous layered and savory nose with tones of dark red fruits, roasted herbs, dark red cherries, spices, and bits of violets. There is very nice depth to this with a classiness as well.
  
  Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity and silky tannins. The feel is very pretty with savory tones of dark red fruits, roasted herbs, dark red cherries, violets, and some spice as well.
  
  Overall: This is a gorgeous Chianti Classic Riserva. This is very well balanced with a classy style to it as well.
