October 9, 2023 - Hard to find much fault with this 2010! Delicious at PNP and still excellent 2-1/2 days later after recorking in the fridge. Full bodied, almost black, loads of blackberries, with a somewhat waxy mid-palate. Really silky. For at least the last 10 years, I’ve been drinking GdM Vaucluse Rouge from my local wine shop when I see it on their shelves. It’s never cheap, so I pass on it sometimes, but when I buy it, it’s alway rewarding and memorable. This 2010 is in a fantastic place and is obviously capable of lasting for several years to come.

April 19, 2020 - Dark, almost black ruby. Still very fruity with cherries and blackberries. Lots of balsamic notes as well. Very present tannin make me believe this will improve for some more years. Delicious!

November 30, 2019 - Rich, well made wine, but not super enjoyable.

June 18, 2018 - 70% Grenache, 30% Carignan, Mourvedre, Syrah, Counoise, Muscardin, Vaccares at low yields, it would seem in skilled hands. Decanted for two hours. Garnet with purple highlights; intoxicating perfume of candied cherry, cassis, stems, and a touch of vanilla; bracing at first this evolved with air over days into a wine we savored at 10 PM. Full bodied, almost unctuous; medium acidity with tannins that are firm and somewhat crunchy. Sensuous candied cherry layered with soft vanilla, savory elements, chocolate, cassis with flashes of game and brush, all augmented substantially with pursed lip suction which induced a layered cake of flavors issuing a long and mouth-coating finish. Truly a flirtatious, sexy wine that will fulfill in 2-3 years time.

June 6, 2018 - No notes. Not as outstanding as the professional reviewers wrote of. I decanted and then quickly started consuming. I probably needed more time to open up.
