June 16, 2014 - 1st time at Praelum Wine Bistro - A Monday Night Dinner (Praelum): Tasted blind.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, garnet colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium- intensity, with herbaceous green bell peppers and slight toasted oak. Developed.
On the palate, dry, medium- acidity, medium alcohol, mellow medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium flavor intensity, with flavours of toasted oak, earth, green chilli and bell peppers. Hard to make out the fruit. Medium finish.
I guessed that this was a 10-12 year old French Cabernet Franc.
Good quality. Drink up, this is past its prime.
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. -

March 9, 2007 - 13%. Tending more to austere than lush, with a more modest color, I enjoy the herbality and transparency. Old school. Simple, but a good value, and perhaps with time could transcend its Good+.
