April 18, 2015 - With Dijon chicken and roast cauliflower.
    Clear light gold.
Nose: a bit muted, fresh, touch of lemon.
Palate: nice fruit/acid balance. Oak is under control. Dry, decent finish.
Nice everyday drinker, good with food and refreshing.

December 28, 2013 - Apple, honey, toast - tasted at winery. Not sure what this retails for but at the right price this feels like a balanced California chardonnay, not too oaky

December 25, 2013 - Hard to find a better "large production" Chardonnay for the price ($13 at Costco). Lemon Curd, lemon zest, ocean air, a double helix of minerality adding a sense of structure from start to finish. Yum!!

December 18, 2013 - I've tasted a bunch of moderately priced Chardonnays looking for the best value. The Fess Parker beats everybody else: Kendall Jackson Grand Reserve, Ch Ste Michelle Indian Wells, District 7, Rodney Strong Chalk Hill, Calera Central Coast, and several others $12 to $24. It has balance and minerality to go along with the wonderful expression of California Chardonnay fruit (lemon curd, pineapple) achieved with barrel fermentation and sur lie elevage. The finish has no coarse expression of oakiness on top of another undernourished thin white wine, but a mild oak spice note allied to very good juice instead. Is there a touch of residual sugar?

December 1, 2013 - A nose of white peach, golden apples, some sea salt and a bit of honey butter. On the palate, the acid sings, but there’s a fullness and richness to the mouthfeel. Flavors of white peach, yellow apple and apricot intertwine with notes of honey and buttered rum. Toasty, but not overwhelmingly so, and the finish is crisp and full nuts and orange peel.
