  April 4, 2014 - Medium deep ruby.
  NOSE > Red-cherry, pomegranate, lavender, aromatic black, red, blue, wild fruit, grilled tomato/herbs, stewed-tomato.
  Some smoky, creamy richness. Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) keeping it reigned in/tight.
  PALATE > Med + bodied. Some richness, but more savory & linear.
  Red-cherry, crushed wild berries, sumac-tea, sappy cherry-bark, lavender, & grilled herbs. Tannins are nice, not overdone - tight, not rich. Restrained use of oak accentuates fruit on nose & palate.
  The Cab Sauvignon dominates. Med intensity, depth, & length.
  Nice stuff. Will age medium term.
  (65% Merlot, 30% C.S., 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Syrah)
  Not as good as the '07.

  October 4, 2013 - 90 min decant...deep ruby hue with fair amount of clarity...ripe black fruits wrapped in a melange of charred cedar, flint and cocoa on the nose...juicy and very ripe black fruits on entry with chewy tannins, an herbaceous kick and medium finish that falls a bit short on structure and complexity...i really wanted to love this given my close proximity to the vineyard and it was improving in the glass and with light fare...while this is one of the best efforts I have tasted from the North Fork, it's not very memorable, particularly at $70+/b...perhaps this will develop some complexity with additional cellaring but not willing to take chance unless i can acquire more at <$40/b
