May 7, 2017 - Enjoyed the big fruit from this French wine. Not typical, but enjoyed it just the same.

September 4, 2015 - Refined and with interesting cigar, but pretty hard to differentiate from the regular Bertrand offerings. Fruit bomb.

January 10, 2015 - Should probably be consumed best in the next two years !

September 14, 2014 - Als vanouds. Mooi dik rood fruit in geur en smaak, mooie zuren en dito taninnes. Fraaie medium lange afdronk.
    Nu uitstekend op dronk.

August 27, 2014 - A blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre and Grenache.

Thick, opaque black cherry color with luminous, translucent rim. Very dark-toned and savory nose with aromas of fresh dark berries, ripe blackberries, some licorice root, a little bit of leather and a hint of olive. The wine is full-bodied, rich and spicy with concentrated, savory flavors of licorice, juicy plums, blackberries, peppery spice, some sweet oak spice, a little bit of leather and a hint of cocoa. Overall the wine feels quite structured and serious with moderate acidity and firm tannins. The finish is long, rich and quite dark-toned with brooding, plummy fruit, juicy blackberry-driven berries, some licorice, a little bit of peppery spice, a hint of savory oak spice and a touch of earth.

A big, serious and nicely structured Languedoc red with great balance, nice harmony between the body and the fruit and quite judicious use of oak. Feels quite modern and polished, but it doesn't distract from the pleasure. This young, the oak flavors are still a bit prominent, but most likely they will integrate better underneath the sturdy fruit with age. Needs a few years to come together, although starts to drink nicely right now. Will keep for a decade or so. Good value at 18,95€.
