  May 2, 2024 - Mostly solid precipitate. Medium red, edge showing age.
  Fine, clean, pure. Restrained fruit characters. Some bottle complexity but slight for a 14yo. No sign of the acetone characters seen in the recent Bellota glass.
  Wonderful long, balanced Brunello structure. Very little expression of other fruits. A little black cherry at a push. A wonderful, elegant, refined, balanced Brunello. Will hold for at least another decade and should express greater bottle complexity. A wonderful Brunello.
  7 hours later - has opened up to show much more aromatics and flavour. No sign of fading. Bodes well.

  April 27, 2024 - Glowing orange with black tendrils under the light. Actually a bit past its ideal drinking window. Overripe notes of blackberries and prunes. Still tasty.

  Peak? Certainly this bottle. Disappointing bottle, IMO.

  March 26, 2024 - Enjoyed at Da Umberto along with the 04, 16 and a 1990 Barbi Riserva. Gorgeous mouthfeel with a full body and very silky tannins, fairly bid body. Flavor not as complex as I would have liked for a higher score, with soft cherries, milk chocolate and a medium length finish.
  
  The 16 was more robust, firmer tannins and bigger body, richer and sharper cherry flavor without any tertiary. No surprise. Will be interesting to see how that ages
  
  The 04 was clearly the weakest with dying fruit but limited tertiary flavors. May improve with 5-10 years.

  March 12, 2024 - 제임스 서클링의 100점 와인은 최소한 오래간만에 마셔보는게 아닌가 싶다.
  결론부터 말하자면 향도 무척이나 좋았고, 맛도 무척이나 좋았지만 재구매할 일은 글쎄?
  모든 와인에 내기 어려운 결론이지만 일단 BDM에 대해서는 이 정도 가격은 가격에 따른 성능 증가가 미미하다고 표현해두겠다.
  
  노즈에서는 가죽향이 꽤나 지배적이다.
  찾고 찾으면 검은 과실향이 나지 않는 것은 아니지만 생각보다 향의 규모가 크지 않아서 확산된다는 느낌은 거의 없다.
  흙내음 같은 피노누아에서 기대할만한 향도 나는 편인데 생각보다 가죽향 외에는 잔잔해서 약간은 실망했다.
  
  팔렛에서 좋은 와인이구나 싶은 건 잘 정돈되어 잘 풀어진 실키한 탄닌이다.
  약간 상처났을 때 피를 빠는듯한 철분 느낌이 구조감있는 마우스필과 이어지니 이것도 꽤 재밌었다.
  산도도 꽤 있는 편이라 이 정도 가격 와인치고는 (그래도) 토마토 소스 계열의 음식과 어울리는 편이다.
  
  주질 자체가 좋다는 건 분명히 느껴지긴 하나 애매한 지점이다.
  쉽게 말하면 발디카바 BDM과 비교해보면 훨씬 좋다고 보기 어려운데 가격은 확 오르니.
  게다가 그레이트 빈티지에 대한 기대감까지 더해져서 분명 좋은 와인임에도 실망이 더 크지 않았나 싶다.
