August 21, 2014 - Nice raspberry jam notes with a bit of a velvety texture. Light oak notes can also be detected. Greta quality to price ratio in my opinion.

June 19, 2014 - As California goes, this one is thicker and more unctuous than typical. There is a creamy richness that is probably artificial; oak chips, heavy lees treatment. They did a nice job of bringing upfront fresh boysenberry, plum, cherry and some red fruits. Not overly acidic, rustic or tart, so this one may be the style of red wine you drink solo instead of with food. Surprising moderate heavy mouth feel. Also a nice touch with some of those barnyard, earthy flavors. With just a little more structure and back bone this could score several point higher.

April 27, 2014 - Very fruity when first opened, then bitter. After 30 minutes or so it smoothed out and lost that strong fruity opening and the bitterness. For a $10 bottle, it was a good value.
