Community Tasting Notes 4

July 2, 2019 - Vibrant, lifting acidity and notes of stone fruit, honey, and minerality. PnP, then followed over several days, the final glass was just as good as the first. No reason to think this won't be great for another five years. Agree with wine strategies' observation that this is best served on the warmer end of "cool" for the best showing of the fruit-leaning aromatics. Right out of the fridge, it's mostly saline and minerals that dominate.

June 30, 2017 - Pop and poured. Drank over 2.5 hours. Casual Friday at ESBK.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, yellow gold colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of slate stones minerality, lemon drops, honey, almond nut, sweet florals. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol (14.5%), full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of slate stones minerality, honeyed lemon drops, nectarines, ripe peaches, almond, sweet cream. Long finish.
Very good quality. Started off with minerality at the fore, somewhat like a Mosel Riesling, then with air the richness of the palate comes through and this is a mama mia white. A good 5+ years more of life for this.
This Timorasso varietal deserves to be more well known!

October 4, 2014 - Pours a rich straw toward golden color, clear and bright. Aromas of nectarines, river rocks, ripe apples, orange blossom. Be sure to serve on the warmer side of the equation as this is reluctant to show much below 55F. Medium-bodied, brilliant, lively acidity. Femininely-styled, with a saline and mineral character that slightly overwhelms the really pure stone fruits at this point; needs time. 14,5% abv (really? this came across more like 12,5%), drink thru 2023. recommended

Aerate to decanter for 20 minutes and returned to bottle, served non-blind 4 hours later. At this point, I prefer the 2011 version (more complex, more full) that I tasted this past April while at Vin Italy.

June 13, 2014 - Cool nose, full of lime and Mosel-like scents, this has a great body, really lithe and saline, Chablis-like on the palate. Age-worthy.
