January 17, 2015 - Year 2 - Super Tasting 5 of 5 - Greg does Loire (Greg's House - Kitchener, ON): This was really sweaty...with some tart red fruit notes coming through but little else.
Palate is a bit more expressive with some flowers and mineral notes mixing with one dimensional red fruit notes but this is quite tannic and rustic and not overly complex.
Finish is medium. -

January 17, 2015 - Year 2 - Super Tasting 5 of 5 - Greg does the Loire (Greg's House): (Tasted Blind, Sancerre Rouge #2) The nose on this wine initially features a fair bit of rubberry reduction. Also aromatics of sweaty gym shoes, dirty wet soil, fruit punch and kool aid. The palate is a tad more tannic than I would like it to be, and the finish is quite short and simple. Overall the mouthfeel is a bit bitter and austere. Tough showing.
