    July 20, 2021 - Aged beautifully for over 18 years !!
Cork was dry, but was easily removed with the Durant. Consumed over three days, vac u vin and refrigerated. Nice honey color, excellent clarity with no evidence of oxidation. Perfumed floral aromas of honeysuckle, peach, and pear; soft flavors of apricot, pear, and lichee nut with a long flavorful mineral rich finish. This Roussanne is nicely balanced and has demonstrated great agebillity, could easily age in the cellar for over two decade. Great estate fruit and winemaking. I still have one bottle of this vintage remaining that I am saving for a 2001-2006 Tablas Creek Roussanne vertical tasting.

February 9, 2018 - Major foul on my part. Drank this 2+ months ago shortly after receiving from winebid.com. Set the bottle aside to remind me to look into buy the other bottle or two that were still available at winebid.com (having only bought one bottle out of concern for condition). Well the empty bottle sat, the other bottle(s) wasn't purchased and is no longer available, and all I've got is the memory of this fantastic bottle.

It was certainly aged, but no oxidation and it even showed facets of freshness. It was a fantastic wine that would have probably stood up to top tier Rhones that retailed several multiples higher. Whatever Tablas was doing in the aughts, they ought to keep on doing.

February 13, 2013 - I'm not patient by nature except when it comes to aging Roussannes and Marsannes for a decade. Golden color. Aromas of cashews, anise, pine tar, dried apricot and antique store. Thick oily mouthfeel. Nice backbone of acidity to drape the exotic flavors upon. Long, long finish. Challenging food pairing. I ended up grilling gulf prawns basted with butter, garlic, mirin, dried tarragon and smoked paprika. Great match.

March 8, 2011 - What an elegant treat. It's gold in color, viscous and luscious. This wine will only improve for another 2 years. Roussanne is a very good aging white when made in the right style and Tablas Creek did it here. All thick with minerals, green melon, light citrus and honey notes that are vibrant and fresh yet coats the palate with richness. Perfect and long finish that feels like it's still on its way up. A very special wine.

January 22, 2008 - Deep yellow, gold color. Fragrant nose of light honey and juicy fig with a hint of earthiness. Soft mineral flavors with light and creamy citrus and honey flavors. Really long finish goes on for more than a minute. Incredible balance, full and mouthfilling but still lively and fresh and the finish leaving you feeling there is still a tightly coiled element yet to unfold with a few more years. Drinks really good now but will still improve for at least another year. One of the most delicious non-Chardonnay whites I've yet had.
