January 1, 2011 - Decanter an hour, this had hints of greatness but didn't compare to a Two Hands of similar makeup and age. I kept waiting for more fruit on the finish, just was barely there.

March 14, 2010 - Established in the early 1970s, Oliverhill Winery is located just outside the town of McLaren Vale, in the'Seaview' region. Producing wines from just three varieties (Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah or Durif as it's called in Oz) their entire production is Vegan friendly.

The Clarendon Shiraz is made from fruit grown by Tony Fagg, on Gosse Road at Clarendon and aged in French oak for 16 months. The resulting wine is very deep indeed. I found aromas of dried fruit, earth, smoke and tar on the nose. The palate is full on savoury. I found white pepper, spice and eucalyptus ending with a touch of violets and well integrated wood tannins. 91 points.

April 19, 2008 - It took a couple hours to open up, but then it had some nice spice as berries.

May 7, 2006 - Rich and concentrated, very tasty shiraz.

December 23, 2005 - A nose of camphor, licorice, and eucalyptus.
