October 22, 2021 - Brought to tasting group. Opened about three hours prior. Loads of very fine sediment in the neck. Deep ruby color with a translucent core. Medium viscosity with some sediment in the glass. On the nose, medium+ intensity. A combination of red and dark fruits, currants and brambles, tobacco, green bell pepper, earth and some spices. On the palate, confirming the mixed fruit set, tobacco, earth and spices. There is an overarching impression of freshness in this wine. Medium+ tannin, Medium+ acid, Medium+ finish. The ABV is an incredibly modest 12.5%…a lightweight by today’s standards and yet, it was lacking nothing.

May 25, 2020 - Pop and pour, a little over 5 years since my last bottle. This is downright gorgeous, and one of the best Cab Sauv I've had in a while. On the nose: soft boysenberry, some herbal notes, charcoal powder, tangy red fruit, so fresh and lively, but tempered with a touch of game and leather. On the palate, fantastic acidity, some plum and blackberry, a touch of soy, great salinity. Attenuated tannin on the juicy finish. This is at or perhaps slightly past peak, but a fantastic bottle of Cab.

April 25, 2019 - Decanted about an hour. Deep crimson/purple. Very thin clear rim. Savory nose is complex with roasted red fruit and baked spices. The bright flavors offer "cool fruit" and hints of menthol and red currants. There is plenty of acidity that carries the flavors into the finish. I think this is unlikely to develop positively from here. Drink soon of hold onto a bottle in case I'm wrong.

May 21, 2016 - Decanted for about 30 mins beforehand. Drinking really well and a very good bottle of wine from a tough growing year. Oak is spot on, tannins are soft and well integrated. Finish was excellent. Only 12.5% ABV and the fruit shines through here and not alcohol. Loads of red fruits, cherry, some fennel and spice.

October 11, 2015 - Decanted 4 plus hours. Very tight at first, but smoothed out nicely. Perfect with filet mignon. Good dark fruit, well balanced.
