Community Tasting Notes 14

  • Anton_Wallin Likes this wine: 89 points

August 19, 2017 - Balanced acidity, mature dark fruits, new leather, a bit dusty but fine grained tannins.
This is at its peak right now. Really useful wine with food for an okey amount of money

  • Krassens Likes this wine: 87 points

October 20, 2016 - Jammy, hint of cocoa and rosehip, medium to low tannins, pretty drinkable now but not too complex.

  • merryberry Likes this wine: 88 points

September 25, 2016 - A little bit of orange tint in the red. Pomegranate, earth, and spice nose. Medium bodied, loaded with pepper and spices, dark cherries, soft woody tannins, strawberry jam, and slightly hot medium length finish. Tasty, but it feels kind of over-manipulated.

  • jmcmchi Likes this wine: 89 points

August 24, 2016 - Spice and spice and spice

I appreciate this a lot more accompanying vibrant vegetables.... Long finish, feels as if it has a few years to go

    March 15, 2016 - Screw cap
Nose redolent of spice and hints of oak
    fresh acidity on palate
Good value, although not a great example of the merits of using both American and French oak (admittedly "old" per the bottle notes)
