October 21, 2023 - From magnum. The name of this wine from 2001 to 2013 was Passopisciaro, in 2014 it was renamed to Passorosso. Transparent medium ruby. Aromas of cherry, prunes, spices, tobacco. Medium+ acidity, medium+ silky tannins, medium body, medium- finish. Taste of cherry, mineral.

June 3, 2022 - Wines of Spring - Graduations, Confirmations, Birthdays (Yorktown Neighborhood, Arlington, VA): A fragrant and jubilant wine that is sleek and fresh but also packs a punch with pronounced flavors of red cherry along with sophisticated elements of mineral and smoke. Lovely savory finish. Wowed my guests who didn’t drink a lot of Sicilian wines. This is another go-to that I try to pick up in every vintage.

July 24, 2021 - Very refined and well integrated after ten years in cellar. QPR correct. I slightly prefer Terrenere for this grape.

October 30, 2020 - Not bad - more red fruits than black on the nose, with a lighter-bodied feel on the palate, good acidity. Drinking as a mature wine, but feels capable of maintaining this level for another 3-5 years.

July 25, 2020 - Lots of red fruits, tons of acidity and just plain drinkable. Absolutely no signs yet that this is falling over, although I'm not sure whether it will improve with further cellaring (unless in larger formats).

Remains my absolute favourite wine with pizza.
