April 1, 2015 - Dark berry, vanilla, hints of cedar, some heat, palate is lush, fruit forward with some spice tone, finishes a touch light with a slight heat spike

July 16, 2014 - duckhorn (at the estate): Very fine nose, black currants, pipe tobacco, pencil shavings and some vanilla. Texture wise this lands in a good spot on the palate, but the finish has some drying tannins that detracts. Extracted, but the fruit can handle it. Not a bad effort.

December 30, 2013 - Tasted at Duckhorn Vineyards with Kathy today. Nose shows a touch of heat and dark fruit, more of the same on the palate, rich tasting, pleasant, medium body, and medium finish.
