April 11, 2020 - Brick fading to crimson; rim variation consistent with age. Medium legs. A variety of aromas: first the fruit. Strawberry, red currant, a bit of fig, defined cherry, hints of dust, oak, mint and soy sauce. Similar impression on the palate: plenty of different flavors. Medium/full body, smooth and polished texture. Medium finish, below medium acidity. Impression: balanced, complex, a nice effort. At $21, QPR is slightly above average. Drink now or next year: just may be at its prime.

October 1, 2016 - Amazing combination of fruit forwardness and earthy rusticity. Intense and ripe red berries accented by pretty violets, cedar and vanilla. Clean and focused on the palate. A strong backbone of acidity and chalky tannins promise a long future ahead. The finish lasted two minutes. Plenty of fine sediment at the bottom of this bottle.
