Community Tasting Notes 3

  • cohnwine Likes this wine:

September 11, 2015 - Tart cherry, cranberry, pepper, earth. Deep and dense. Pretty, almost translucent ruby. Medium (+) acidity, medium tannin, medium (+) finish. Needs time and air.

  • cohnwine Likes this wine:

March 24, 2015 - Black cherry. Does take awhile to open up, but once it does it's hard to put down.

August 31, 2014 - Not what I expected from a simple Bourgogne. The nose was nice with blackberry, black cherry, hints of wood. However on taste too much wood masking darker fruits rather than bright fruits which I expected from Chassagne. A bit odd. It may need time to integrate - one of those Bourgognes that are not for early drinking. Really not sure what it will be like in the future - for young drinking this is not ready at all. I would pass unless you iknow what this wine does after some aging.
