August 10, 2018 - A nice mature Barbaresco with soft red fruit - cherry mostly with notes of damp earth. Moderate finish with dusty tannins. Decanted briefly as the fruit becomes attenuated rather quickly - pop and pour is the way to go. Agree with other reviewers that wine is drinking well but past peak. I have one bottle left and will probably consume within a year.

November 4, 2017 - Black cherry Kool Aid powder aroma. Very edgy at the cork pull, has a hard vitamin/silage note on the palate. Licorice as this opens up. Medium tannin.

December 22, 2015 - Lovely mature Nebbiolo with sweet tobacco, a distinctive rosehip, red cherry and redcurrant(?) fruit, medium to dark garnet color, good acid/tannin balance and great structure, (mostly resolved tannins and great acidity) and a beautiful long finish. It definitely showed more tannin than the regular bottling, but since I carried this bottle to the restaurant, it's possible they were a little stirred up. In any case, this is truly a winner. Another couple of years wouldn't do it any harm if it has been stored correctly, but then why chance it and wait? It's truly lovely now and unlikely to improve.
