July 28, 2016 - The wine looks brick colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like prune, burnt wood, plum and oak. It tastes like prune and plum. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

October 8, 2014 - Purplish, violet color with fairly substantial bricking. Tertiary aromas of bark, mushroom & burnt leaves. Fruit has faded which is not unexpected in such an old Rioja. Still, has some pleasant characteristics of tobacco, burnt wood & tar. Overall, remains an interesting pour, but one consisting almost entirely of tertiary elements.

April 10, 2012 - Took to Spanish tasting by Kroger group. Definately showing age--hint of saurkraut. After "breathing" it was smooth, long, black fruit.
