April 28, 2024 - Lime, lemon curd. Lanolin. Honeysuckle peeking around the corner at us, we know it’s there but can’t quite see it yet. Body. No surprises in any of that. Outstanding length drawn out by wash of acidity. Balance just so. Only now coming in to its own, I feel. Have two more bottles, open the next one in five years or so.

February 11, 2024 - Pale straw, with flecks of green and medium intensity, aromas of lemon, ginger, and asparagus. What is noteworthy about this wine is the tart acidity and long ginger laced finish.

May 30, 2022 - Bright lemon colour at first suggests a wine younger than 2013. The nose and palate have a strong lemon pith character that is just staring its journey towards maturity. Expect the buttered toast and honey characters to emerge with another five years or more in the cellar. The finish has a typical wax and lanolin coating on the palate with plenty of acid for the wine’s upward journey. An excellent Hunter Semillon to savour with seafood.

January 22, 2022 - Clear, pale and lemon in colour. The nose is clean, medium + intensity with primary aromas of lemon peel, pear, tomato leaf. Secondary aromas of pastry, cheese and cedar. Tertiary aromas of hay and hint of diesel. The palate is dry with high acidity, high alcohol and medium + body. Flavour intensity is medium + with all flavours present and hint of green apple. Finish is medium +. Drink now and keep aging.

October 16, 2021 - Not sure if we opened this too soon. Bracing acidity with citrus notes and a creamy mouthfeel on the 2nd day. The acidity seemed to overwhelm everything else.
