#1 or #2? Likes this wine: 93 points
February 18, 2024 - alongside a 2009 chateau monbousquet, the nose on this was little more restrained, subtle. eventually, raspberry and blackcurrant emerge, mint, spice, bubblegum. the palate is where this shines though, bright berry fruit, pure and linear, with that mint and spice in support and in perfect balance. very nice showing and i would think this will hold here for a year or two yet.

February 11, 2024 - We were drinking 2009, 2010, 2010 Cinq Cepages as part of a steak dinner. While all were very good, the 2010 stood out with a bright fruit, balanced, and entirely enjoyable surprise. Thought we had waited too long but our storage in the Vinotemp kept this year just right. Cork in amazing shape and some sediment but decanting solved for that. Everyone enjoyed it !

July 11, 2023 - deep and layered smooth dark plum and earth; still has plenty of fruit with some secondary notes; a bit less acidity than i prefer, though it may be masked by the fruit

February 24, 2023 - Retail $80. 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec. Three weeks ago, this was the second wine of a mini-verticle and it finds itself in the precisely same position tonight. Dark, on the verge of quite dark in the glass with a rather tart nose of blackberry, plum, and cassis. There is also some spice and a decided herbal aspect (dill and basil) that lends an austere aspect. The palate is as close to a complete opposite as I have experienced. Rich, fruity, layered, tart, intense. It is balanced and harmonious, yowza. With the tannins mostly integrated, now is the time to drink!
