  April 18, 2024 - A Private Tasting in London of various varietals: This was decent, but I prefer my CdPs a bit fresher, and this was a bit tired by the end of the glass. Candy cane nose. Dark chocolate and soft fruit. Medium finish. 90

  April 15, 2024 - Expressive nose with interwoven, rich raspberry and blackberry. Dried herbs, leather and cloves.
  
  Great palate intensity with a long spicy and savoury finish.
  
  Delicious now but still seems very young.

  April 7, 2024 - A bit more subdued than a prior bottle we had a few years ago. This one was showing notes of ash, licorice, allspice, and a little black plum.

  April 2, 2024 - Drank over the course of 4 days (under vacuvin) with a very different showing on day 1 & 2 vs. day 4. Day 1 & 2: High intensity on the nose (you could smell the wine from 3 meters distance). Full, deep and rich while remaining quite elegant (as far as that goes for CndP). Kirsch, plum, garrigue, mint, minerality. Medium acidity, medium tannins, long finish. 92+

  March 16, 2024 - Under a pristine cork. Deep, dark crimson, only clearing a little at the rim. A savoury, evolved bouquet of brown spice, old leather, espresso, dark cherries, blackberries, dried prunes and cut herbs. On palate, middle aged, elegant, secondary, nuanced and balanced Châteauneuf-du-Pape, like I like it. Meaty and savoury, with dried and fresh mushrooms, soil, dark fruit and stewed prunes. Mellowed. Not over-ripe, over-oaked or too alcoholic (14% ABV) on the label. Fresh with sufficient acidity. Structured and substantial with decent length. At an early peak, this Châteauneuf-du-Pape will drink well out to 2040+, I suspect.
