October 13, 2015 - Very encouraging start, with a delicate bouquet of crushed rock, cherry and rose petal. Juicier on the palate, the mineral component continues on a light to medium-bodied frame, with chalky cherry flavors that show a dash of white pepper.

July 22, 2015 - Willamette Valley Pinot Noir: Pale ruby colored. Much more tart and floral than some of the other offerings, I get sour cherries, tart cranberries and red apple peels, laced with roses and some sweet red licorice. Medium-bodied with silky tannins and refreshing acid. The fruit is crisp and crunchy but offers plenty of juicy ripeness (red cherries, strawberry, raspberry jam, red apple peel). Lovely mix of pipe tobacco, dark chocolate shavings, clove and white pepper, lots of earthy notes to unpack. Such a silky and creamy wine but plenty of cut and depth as well. 15% new oak, 13.5% alcohol. What a great value for $25.

November 14, 2014 - Tasted in double-blind fashion from a bottle provided by M.B., this deep ruby wine offers nice aromas of cherry, coriander, orange zest and cocoa. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, freshly acidic and has well-integrated alcohol (14.4%). Although light in weight, the wine's tannins are somewhat angular and the promise of the nose is not fully delivered in the spartan flavor profile. Thinning a bit in the middle, it concludes with a short-to-medium-length finish. While short-term cellaring may be beneficial here, I would not necessarily bank on it. Drink now-2019.

July 21, 2014 - Slightly cloudy ruby. Nice earthy aroma with solid fruit underneath, hints of pepper. Pure juicy fruit on the palate with lively acid support, rich staining berry flavors at the back and a long finish. A rolling juicy wine, not much finesse, but who needs it. 55+12+16+7.
