July 8, 2017 - Subdued yet elegant bouquet. Cassis and black raspberries over earthy elements of conifer and fancy oak. The palate is emboldened by a dark fruit intensity which showcases blackberry and plum fruit flavors, density of weight, supple textures, and nicely integrated oak. Firm but sweet tannin creeps up on the espresso finish. Classy on all fronts.

October 11, 2015 - Agree with others about fruit being bold and forward. Decanted for several hours and it calmed down to where it seemed quite acceptable during and after dinner. Berry and oak predominate with a finish of dark cocoa.
