August 23, 2014 - Darker and more tannic than expected for a merlot (then again, we are more used to cooler climate merlots). There were dark fruit & some peppery spice in the fore palate before disappearing and red fruits & vanilla started to dominate the palate. There were also hints of earth and chocolate. Medium plus length.
