May 9, 2023 - Jeremy's Riesling Dinner (Hawthorn): Half. A lovely amber colour. Deep and creamy on the nose, with some strawberry - no wonder it matched the dessert so well. Good fun on the palate, with a sour yoghurty flavour, almost chevre-like, married to intense, bracing, barely-ripe mango. Beautiful long finish, grippy and piquant with lime. I'm sure people have told me that Eiswein doesn't age well, but here's a strong counterexample.

September 26, 2021 - Open for 3d. From 375 ml bottle. Lovely aromas of botrytis spice, honeyed lemons, tart apples, flowers, minerals. Palate w w honey, lemons, tart apples, cinnamon, botrytis spice, minerals, Flowers, and minerals. Moderately long finish. Outstanding acids to balance the sweetness. Lovely balance. Complex but also Just delicious. 93+

June 24, 2019 - Champagne, Riesling, and Bordeaux with Skippy (Chicago, IL): From half-bottle. Apple-juicy and sour; probably oxidized.

August 4, 2018 - Dinner with Eric and Susan G.: Ripe notes of yellow peach, orange with a hint of the sweaty honey and toasted almond. The palate shows true eiswein colors - bright, with gooseberry and red currants, richer toward the back, bringing in candied lemon and lime. really fresh - drinking like a bright auslese, but with a dollop of lemon cream on top.

    September 22, 2017 - Viscous golden. From 375.

A bracing nose of quince, alfalfa, honey and morning dew (ok i forget the nose. tbh, but it was sweet and improved with air for sure)

Upon warming up a bit, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS combination of fresh granny smith and golden delicious apples with a baked crust. I know, i know-- you'd think that cooked apples might taste better with the smell of a sweet flaky crust and you, sir and madam, WOULD BE WRONG.

LONG, Sweet and fresh acidity on the finish.
Disappears VERY very quickly. Superb. OBTAIN EISWEIN.
