December 27, 2016 - December Themed Tastings; 12/22/2016-12/29/2016 (At Home): Deep garnet red. Stinky attack on the nose that starts to dissapate and bring out some more vegetal and green characteristics like herbs and bell peppers. Low tannins (4.5/10) with lots of bell peppers and spices prior to a long finish of guava. Medium body that gained some more darker berries with more air. Drink now.

December 27, 2016 - Hint of guava fruit and dirty cellar in the nose. The dirty cellar dissipates quickly and leaves a very enjoyable light oak wood.

Fruity guava on the palate with light acid in the finish. Light medium body. Simple and drinkable.

Day 2 tasting: Clearly mellowed but the tannins are still nice and 6/10. A little more earthy and sandy and enjoayable - maybe 88?

November 29, 2016 - Deep garnet in color. Nose has camphor and anise. Palate is slightly tanninc with deep black currant and a hint of smoke. The finish is sharp and tannic with minerality trailing off.

July 20, 2014 - Wow! Everything one would hope for. I will lay down a couple bottles every year and keep my fingers crossed.
