December 28, 2022 - Rich and certainly showing Grand Cru density, but getting tired for Montrachet, even if it's a 2003.

December 30, 2021 - Lunch on the terrace (cafe EPURE, Shop 403, inside Epure, Level 4, Ocean Centre, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong): Drank on the terrace at Epure over lunch. Decanted for two hours or so then drank slowly over the next two. Medium yellow gold colour. Deep-toned honeyed spices and temple bell chimes on the nose. Wonderfully resonant similar sensations on the palate and an endlessly long resonance and reverberance inside the head on the finale. Somewhat heavier than I associate with a Montrachet, probably reflecting the very hot summer that year. Less scintillating than the 1982 Drouhin Chevalier-Montrachet that preceded it. 92+ Thanks, Benoit!

December 22, 2014 - Burgundy Dinner with Friends (Paris Club - Chicago IL): Popped and poured. This was incredibly lush, forward and unctuous. Lots of almost sweet stone fruit aromas and flavors with brown spice. This was very "2003" in terms of being fat and forward, but is able to retain and show moderate energy and acidity. Very easy to enjoy, just easily overshadowed by the 2005 vintage in the next glass.

June 13, 2011 - Consistent with previous note, though slightly more evolved. I would definitely drink these sooner rather than later.

October 23, 2009 - Birthday with Vosne Romanee (Boka - Chicago IL): Rich and buttery nose with some traces of floral charm. Incredible citrus fruit on palate with lots of baby fat. Just the faintest hint of tropical fruit on the nose and palate, but the acidity and minerality smack any thoughts of saying this is overripe Chardonnay right out of your mouth. Intense fruit and power on finish. Needs another 3-5+ years.
