December 16, 2013 - Opened and poured, this medium bodied pinot showing fine aromas of spice, oak, sassafras, cola, plum and over ripe strawberry. Nice mature fruit profile, still showing sweetness and length. Plenty of toast, espresso, and fruit on the finish. On day two + under vacuvin, not as fresh, but still enjoyable, more tartness coming out. Certainly not gaining, at peak.

October 12, 2013 - PnP. Open immediately, but did develop over the evening. Red berries, cherry, earth and loads of Asian and baking spices. Rich fruit with layers of flavor. Surprising acid balance given the lush entry and it still has a little tannic firmness. Not much tension or mineral, but for me this is a terrific RRV PN. My CT showed this was 'gone' but I am sure glad I made an error and had this left to enjoy. This could last several more years without a worry, but doesn't look to be heading in a 'better' direction.

October 7, 2012 - PnP with leftovers. Huge smoky boquet with grained black fruits. Full body, toasted smoked blackberries, molasses, black cherry and cola on the palate. Big fruit, no bracing heat. Day two + this has darkened, showing fine humus, brooding earth, mushroom, black fruits. Very nice package with high extract and long fruit driven finish that's not too over the top. Plenty of life left, still very fruit forward.

January 30, 2011 - Dark cherry with a slight earthiness - well balanced and still drinking well. I read a review in Wine Spectator saying Furthermore' 2008 Amber Ridge (92 points) would last until 2017... now I believe it.

November 22, 2010 - Solidly in a good drinking window now. Tannins are soft, fruit still present.
