Community Tasting Notes 4

June 18, 2015 - Probably the best showing. Musty fruits, dry, dusty tannin, good persistent length. Like a classic oz shiraz from the 90s.

January 10, 2015 - Well and truly mature and looks somewhat more 'down the path' than the August 2014 tasting suggested. Fruits are pale and almost tired with acid tinged berries, metals and blond tinges. Faint aniseed to finish. Quite pleasant in a mature way but ultimately should show better.

August 15, 2014 - Fruits are mature and somewhat heavy. Old berries tell the story as does woody old tannin. Seems well aged but is holding.

December 6, 2013 - Very much in zone, although perhaps in the back end of said zone. Fruits are well mature, dry and herbal, obviously not fruity. Nice drinking albeit a little 'what ever'. Ok for its age but I've had better aged examples from the standard label. I wonder what this wine started out life as?
