July 7, 2023 - Pop and pour. Just wow. This btl is in an amazing place. On the nose: soft nuits earth, game, mulberry leaf, cola, dried blackberry, blackberry. On the palate: fantastic acidity, dried blackberry, red earth, herbs, lovely density and rustic tannin on the close. Thanks Alex.

March 30, 2019 - Notes from Day 2 open (unrefrigerated on the counter overnight). Showing a hint of oxidation today. On the nose: wet leaves, a touch of cinnamon, a hint of nuits funk, dried strawberry. On the palate, good acidity, cinnamon, pure wild strawberry, finely grained tannin on the cinnamon and spicy finish. Very elegant.

March 22, 2018 - Hospices de Nuits is a charitable foundation in Nuits-Saint-Georges that supports the local hospitals. This bottling by Alex Gambal is lovely. 1999 was a terrific vintage and this wine is in a great drinking window. Some of these Burgndy's are overpriced due to the vintage year- this is a perfect example of that. Sweet nose. Pleasant dried fruit.
