May 8, 2018 - Black cherry and spice on the nose. Dark chocolate and sea salt covered raspberries on the palate. Good brightness and still dusty tannins despite the age.

October 2, 2015 - Aroma: raspberry preserves and cedar wood.
Palate: Rich raspberries over wood spice. Remarkably fresh fruit for the age. Excellent acidity, tannin and structure. Drink now.

January 25, 2014 - (Tasted at the Ozzy Smack Down - a veritable sludge fest!)

A little acidic/juicy around the edges, showing its age more than I would have thought. Not as smooth or integrated as others in this flight. Drink up, the fruits running away. Last tasted almost 2 years ago. This bottle was not as nice.

August 5, 2013 - - Crimsom color with medium forming legs and aromas of blackberry. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of black pepper, blackberry and grapefruit with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a long finish - I really liked this wine. i would say drink it anytime between now and the next 12 months. Lots of black pepper, but with an undertone of blackberry and if you wait a bit, a hint of grapefruit. Lovely wine.

(Ridge Grenache Lytton Estate) Dark magenta color; deep berry, roasted berry, ripe plum nose; tasty, youthful, tart plum, tart berry, vibrant black fruit, charcoal palate; needs 3 more years; medium-plus finish (with 13% Petite Sirah and 9% Zinfandel)

(Ridge Grenache Lytton Estate) Medium dark magenta color; dried cherry, oak, caramel, maturing nose; rich, plush berry, black fruit, black raspberry, blackberry palate with sweet, firm tannins, reminiscent of a Chateauneuf du Pape from a ripe year; medium-plus finish (78% Grenache, 13% Petite Sirah, 9% Zinfandel)
