June 24, 2021 - I unfortunately did not have the same experience with this wine that others seemed to have. For me, there was little to no fruit, high acidity, with little tertiary character to pull it together. Still plenty of tannin left, but this thick, full bodied wine didn't show much else. Overall, this seemed past prime, so I will have to respectfully disagree with pro's drinking window assessment.

December 22, 2020 - No detailed notes, but this was a stunning bottle, prime drinking window.

May 18, 2020 - Purchased upon release and stored in my cellar since then, this was a fine bottle. The wine help up well over time, and there is no reason to rush to drink a bottle of this that is in good condition.

July 16, 2019 - This was excellent. Color was dark purple with no signs of bricking. Nose was floral, black cherries and some charcoal. Black cherries dominated the palate with bright acidity and some tannins still present leaving a nice mouthfeel. If stored properly, I believe this still has a few years left to shine. I've had many AW Champoux's ranging from the late 90's to 2010 and this holds strong against the top vintages, like 03 and 07.

January 6, 2018 - Nice secondary characteristics, but this bottle was definitely on the decline. Would drink soon based on this experience. Bought at auction with soiled label that was falling off, so have to acknowledge the possibility that this was not properly stored.
