December 24, 2023 - From magnum. This was double decanted, and then still took some time to open up and for the tannins to soften. I think I can recognize these blind now by their fine grained tannins, underlying mix of dark and red cherry, spice, outstanding minerality. This is not a wine for those hardcore Burgundy enthousiasts, but an outstanding and unique wine it its own right.

December 21, 2023 - From magnum. Black Cherry's, strawberry, black fruits and berry's, fine tannins, some allspice and a good finish. Took some time too open up, was already double decanted and with some more time later in the evening became even more enjoyable.

December 21, 2023 - BYOB dinner NOTK (Rotterdam, NL): From magnum. Firm pinot, medium intensity with aroma’s of black cherry, wild strawberry, earthy, BBQ spices, minerality. Medium+ acidity, medium tannins, medium+ finish.

First time for the producer, very nice

June 17, 2023 - Prior bottle was 2 years and 2 months ago and the wine continues to show beautifully. Black cherry, earth and spice notes on the nose. Closer to medium bodied now with rounded and expressive black and red cherry upfront. Adding red berries and blackberry through the mid-body and backside. The mid-body remains elegant, but also a touch more integrated than previously. Good backside structure provided by fine grained tannins, spices and mineral notes. The wine is a whole is drinking beautifully, with expressiveness, complexity and balance. However, based on consistent notes and the fact that the wine is more rounded and integrated, this is clearly peak. It will last for several additional years at a high level, but there's no reason to wait and this should ideally be drunk over the next 18-24 months to enjoy this peak.

April 4, 2023 - Wine gathering at RJ's; 4/4/2023-4/7/2023 (South Carolina): Nice mature domestic Pinot nose displaying generous black fruit, black cherry, blackberry concentrate, a hint of sous bois, grilled fat, a hint of Vosne spice, sweet spices and mineral. Excellent concentration, generous ripe black fruit, rich yet showing good balance and harmony, medium acidity and mineral, and a long concentrated ripe black fruit driven finish. This is drinking really well with very generous black fruit.
