December 31, 2020 - This was dark, inky purple, full bodied, rich concentrated but elegant and polished with lush black berry and black raspberry fruits with layers of cassis, clove spice, sweet oak, black tea, mocha and vanilla bean, with smooth silky soft tannins and nicely balanced acidity on the finish.

June 27, 2016 - Dark color. Very rich, full bodied with ripe plum and dry tannins. Not as good as I had hoped for, but a pretty solid napa cab overall. Need food to enjoy this.

December 19, 2015 - Deep indigo in color. Plum, blackberry, maybe some vanilla on the palate. A nice touch of sweetness. Nicely full bodied and in a good drinking window. The only surprise was the approachability at this age. Sure it will last but with 2011 and 2012 available, why wait?

August 9, 2015 - Very curious about this one since I'm seeing the 2011 CT rated as 96.6! Say what??? (I think there are some shillls posting scores!) Anyway this is rated as a 91.5 and I thinks that's right in the range. In the decanter, it took about an hour to 1.5 hours to hit its stride. Since it's been a few days since I drank it I can't recall exactly my impressions, but I remember that it was excellent, medium strength aromas, some sweetness initially on the palate but nothing obnoxious, not overly ripe or extracted, some cassis, maybe vanilla hints, complex body and integrated tannins, medium body with a really nice finish. Although it can probably last another 3-6 years, I think it's in a nice secondary phase now and for another year or so. (...inputting my CT Drink Dates now!) As with so many Napa CS's, its QPR is stretching to the painful range! Drink or Hold! Enjoy!

October 26, 2014 - Red fruit and cedar on the nose, with tart cherry and sage on the palate. Soft, dry finish.
