December 15, 2015 - Barolo - BYO blind: Deepish, golden yellow colour. Mushroomy nose initially but with time it somewhat blows off and more candied fruits, candied pear, quince and overripe peach remain. Off-dry on the palate not unlike some older rieslings, but in a different, not as clean a way. An interesting wine and a thing of the past. You will hardly find any off-dry wines in Rioja now.
