May 13, 2023 - Continues to evade me. Early on I thought too young, after 10 years I wasn't sure, and now maybe too old? Not unpleasant, but expectations (hopes) were high on release. Two more left, we'll see where they go.

June 9, 2019 - A bit dull and overly sweet. Perhaps past it’s prime or a bad bottle.

March 29, 2018 - Was really looking forward to trying this again as it is one of my favorite Austrians. Some pretty perfume and old Riesling notes on the nose - apple. Minerals bit of petrol. Palate is subdued. Uneven some tastes are quite good with stone fruit pit and killer acid. Took a while to open. Apricot. Citrus huge burn. The last sips showed glimpses of what this bottle can do - was it an poor bottle or was it just taking its time to strut its stuff. I didn't go back to it so we will never know, but I think it was just dumb for a while. Of course, other bottles showed great right out of the gate so who knows. I have some more so will try one soon - some thought that this was over the hill, which is not where I would expect the wine to be based on my experience, but as I said, the best sips were the last. Judgement deferred.

January 7, 2018 - Nose: very matured waxy ,honey ,apricot ,petrol
Palate: matured apricot, not having a great acidity structure but with good salinity and mineral finished. Dry on palate, big contrast with nose .

April 24, 2016 - Bone dry, indeed pungently so. Great concentration and power. Still youthful and in many ways quite a demanding wine. Would love to try it in 10 years time.

    90 for now.
